As the night grows dark & creatures of the night begin to head out from their hiding places, The Old Market Assembly will be delving into the world of video nasties and creating a dance floor for all of ghoulish fun seekers to come & get freaky!
DJ Cheeba & Tom Central will be delving deep into the vault and pulling out some video nasties for you all to enjoy.
Tom Central is a DJ, producer, designer and record collector living in London. As an advocate of eclectic DJing and VJing, he plays disco, boogie, soul, house, garage, hip hop, electronic and jungle sets, performing at London’s largest venues over a 20 year DJing career. Gigs have taken him across Europe and beyond.
DJ Cheeba is hailed as one of the most progressive audio visual artists around today and has found an audience world wide with his unique style of turntablism and video manipulation.
Cheeba has produced a variety of celebrated projects including video mixes, movie re-scores, adverts, documentaries and commissioned projects for everyone from Led Zeppelin to Aardman as well as the eclectic mixtapes that he’s best know for and have topped iTunes download charts.
A truly versatile performer, he’s a genre smashing party DJ, an experimental VJ and specialises in detailed audio visual live projects ranging from the cinema style ‘After School Special’ and ‘Plan 9 From Outer Space’ to the dance floor club and festival shows like ‘Return To The Boom Bap’ and ‘Double Vision’.
Tom was commissioned to create a Halloween-themed, audio-visual show to perform in support of DJ Yoda at the Rich Mix, London. The show was a 90 minute journey taking in classic movies and music based on the scariest time of the year. Moving through hip hop, funk, afro beat, disco, house, bassline, grime and jungle - all mixed live in sound and vision - the show was definitely one to dance to as well as immerse yourself in the on screen action. Fast forward to 2018 and DJ Cheeba has invited Tom to reboot the mix and perform it again. This year he performs it expanded and upgraded to extra terrifying effect!
With performances from two of Bristol's most spooktacular drag acts Ruby Rawbone & Sid Delirium It's set to be a night of suprises and scares.
Be prepared to party with the things that go bump in the night!
