See event details

A gig held at The Old Market Assembly on Saturday 29th July. The event starts at 21:30pm.

Equal parts historical and hysterical, lose yourself in the company of sailors, barmaids and bootleggers in this darkly comic cabaret. A raucous journey through the history of gin, "not only vocally sublime but a stroke of comedy genius.” (TheatrePress)

With true tales from 18th Century London, a few New York speakeasies, the Australian bush and the jungles of Peru, Mother's Ruin features songs by Amy Winehouse, Nina Simone, Martha Wainwright, The Popes, The Pretenders and more.

Starring two rising cabaret stars of cabaret, Maeve Marsden and Libby Wood, Mother’s Ruin has played sold out shows to critical acclaim right across Australia.
