Missco return in true 80s fashion with another dykey play-party combo. This time we’re venturing even further west than the Avon, to a reimagined Wild Wild West where cowboys and lesbians roam by day and lesbois and cowbians get sweaty after dark.
We are teaming up with 2023 Ed fringe hit ‘Cowboys and Lesbians’ for their Bristol run at the Wardrobe Theatre. For one night only, we’re throwing a post-play party full of groovy, disco-inspired bassy bangers and plenty of lesboi-cowbian campness.
So don your best neckerchiefs, chaps, denim and plaid, cowboy hats, southern belle boots and bows and get ready to slap those thighs, root yo toots, and les ya bois.

Cowboys and Lesbians is a queer romcom that explores a fantasy world of lust, betrayal, and sexy cowboys whilst examining the intersection between sexuality and fantasy through the eyes of two closeted teenage girls, highlighting just how much the stories we consume affect the ones we tell about ourselves. Described by The Times as “brilliantly funny” and Broadway World as “A genius work of satire”, this truly is the most exciting piece of lesbian culture to grace Bristol’s shores in 2024.

Door Policy and Concession Tickets
The play is open to folk of all genders; however cis men are asked to please respect the space by leaving directly once the play finishes. The Missco afterparty will be run with our usual policy meaning we welcome anyone and everyone who identifies as a woman, non-binary, intersex and/or trans*. Please be assured no one’s gender will be questioned on the door, we only ask that our attendees respect this policy.
*For the sake of clarity, this translates to NO CIS MEN.
