Boombox is back with a BRAAAP BOOM! on this holiday weekend with two 'KINGS' of the UK old skool music scene .... drum roll please!

CRIDGE and MC MIKEE FREEDOM

CRIDGE (Up, Bustle & Out/Tribe Steppaz)
A major player in the Acid House/Rave scene, Cridge has been DJ for the Prodigy, Universe, Dreamscape, Hysteria, Perception, Fantazia & Helter Skelter over the years. His music collection is extensive and spans the last 40 years of rave and soundsystem culture and the genres that played a huge part of it.

As DJ/Producer he is part of drum and bass, jungle and bass heavy Tribe Steppaz and part of trip hop, electronic, jazz group Up Bustle & Out (Ninja Tune Label) alongside the likes of Coldcut, Funki Porcini and Mr Scruff playing beats, rhymes and breaks worldwide.

Playing some pure old skool vibes you can catch him currently on Ujima Radio with his show 'The Time Machine' which fits perfectly with the vibe of a Boombox party.

MC MIKEE FREEDOM (Groove Street)
We know Mikee as the rap artist on the worldwide dance hit 'I Wanna Give You (Devotion)' by Nomad but for the last 10 years Mikee has been bringing together DJs, vocalists, rappers, MCs, and producers to form the successful Groove Street collective which focuses on the style of old skool soundsystem and culture. Groove Street currently has a residency on the third Saturday of the month with it's house night 'KAMA' at Dojo's in Bristol city centre.

LADY CASITA will be playing a genre bending mix of old skool dance music ... anything from hip house to hardcore and everything in between
