A event on Monday 6th June. The event starts at 12:00.

£5. Expires on June 30th 2022.

Includes an on-demand viewing of a 12 minute excerpt from President of the Poetry Society, Roger McGough, plus a support set from Edson Burton. This event took place live at St. George's Bristol on April 8th 2022.

Safety in Numbers is a new collection from the nation’s favourite poet. What will we have learned from stillness and silence? From sharing, not taking? Waiting, not pushing? Whispering, not shouting? Dawdling, not rushing? Traversing rocky terrain with the assurance of a poetry Rover on Mars, McGough brings down to earth the strangeness of a time on hold. Staycations, adultery in lockdown, ghosts and gamblers, as well as playful advice to up and coming poets. (Don’t do it!)

Lyra's 2022 Festival Poet Edson Burton performs brand new work and responds to the theme of Breaking Boundaries: New Worlds, accompanied by guitarist Robert.

Part of Lyra - Bristol Poetry Festival 2022.
