Into the Weird
A Zoom webinar workshop led by Jack Underwood.
What is weird? What isn't? Given that all our experiences of reality are constructed by the brain, for the brain, what can we truly say about the ordinary world as it seems to us? Poetry can arise out of the inevitable gap between the complexity and novelty of our experiences and the habits of thought and language that we use to understand and configure them. This session will examine how we can develop our own new language through poetic techniques to bring the world closer in all its miraculous strangeness.
This is a Zoom Webinar workshop. Participants will be guided through talks and writing exercises, and be able to interact with the facilitator through the chat box.
