Ashesi University prides itself on the creativity of its students. Galvanized by initiatives such as AIX (Ashesi Innovation Experience), the Creativity Festival https://www.instagram.com/p/Ckx3GMAJNiM/ and groups including STRYTLLERS, Ashesi's breadth of interdisciplinary scholarship and creative application is a key aspect of the learning experience at the University. Through literary investigation and analysis provided in its Humanities and Social Sciences as well as Africana Studies offerings, Ashesi students are encouraged to think and create work that taps into its presiding intersectional ethos. Students develop their scholarly and creative identities in ways that connect with the Continent's rich history of literature, orality, storytelling, as well as its plethora of contemporary future-oriented aspirations enshrined in its overarching mandate. The six poets proudly selected to represent Ashesi in this event are luminary embodiments of this combination of exploration, education, and expression.
