Facebook event: http://www.facebook.com/events/930849366952131

LaDIYfest Bristol and BS5 Against Street Harassment (B*A*S*H) are teaming up team up to eliminate gender based street harassment and make ourselves visible and our voices heard by wearing hi vis and marching this Friday!

To kick off LaDIYfest we are teaming up with the new local group B*A*S*H, to take to the streets and make ourselves seen and heard about street Harassment. Everyone should be able to walk the streets without being made to feel uncomfortable, threatened or unsafe but one in five women over 16 in England and Wales has been the victim of a sexual offence and many more the target of unwanted harassment.

Assemble in Owen Square Park, next to the cycle path behind the Easton Community Centre from 5pm - 7pm (look for the stalls & a bike sound-system).

Plus there will be neon face painting, glitter, hi vis decoration, placard making, and more!

There will be food & child friendly activities.

March starts at 7pm

After-party in a secret location!

See you there!

NB: Our march is open to everyone to attend but is organised by, and will be led by, people who experience oppression as women (trans, intersex and cis) and other oppressed genders, including non-binary and gender non-conforming people. So cis men are very welcome and encouraged to come, but we would appreciate it if they did not lead the march.
