The Palestine Museum Bristol is delighted to host the Bristol launch of Ian Wellens' new book, A History of Palestine in Five Fruits.
Born from more than twenty years of reading and research, the book offers a unique approach to Palestinian history, weaving together historical narrative, cultural reflection and personal storytelling. Through five fruit-themed sections, Wellens explores key moments, places and people in Palestine's story, creating an account that is both accessible and deeply human.
Designed for newcomers and those already familiar with the subject alike, the book combines historical clarity with imaginative and emotional insight, using the fruits of Palestine as a lens through which to understand the land, its culture and its people.
The evening will feature a talk from Ian Wellens about the book's creation and significance, followed by audience questions and discussion. Copies of the book will be available to purchase, with a signing after the event.
