House Dance w/ Lottie at Piloxercise BS5 OBY
See event details

A event on Saturday 1st February. The event starts at 11:30.

Fortnightly dance class for house heads. All levels welcome - most participants are enthusiastic beginners.

Fundamentals, philosophy and groove. We go through the basics each time and build through looped repetitions to encourage a state of effortless flow. Great opportunity to get the high of a club experience whilst staying grounded in sober connections.

House is a folk dance. It’s a community dance. It celebrates equality and expressive freedom. These sessions are about honouring the rich tradition of the genre. Lottie’s dance background spans hip hop, vogue ballroom, lyrical jazz and afro samba - taking equal influence from studio based training and a lifetime of clubbing. She’s drawn to spacious styles that welcome individual self expression and group movement exchange.

These sessions are informal, immersive and inclusive. The studio is accessible and centrally located with good transport links.
(there is a small step on entry to the building. If you require assistance please message ahead. Unfortunately the toilets are not accessible for wheelchairs)
