The Bristol Reggae Society are excited to announce the return of our live sessions, showcasing the finest live reggae music in Bristol for each and everyone to come along and experience. This time inna Plantation, we bring to you
DAPPA DON AND THE PLAYAZ
Local favourites Dappa Don and the Playaz know how to put on a show. Since forming in 2007, their killer combination of lover's rock, rocksteady and roots reggae has blessed many a dance. Fronted by the charismatic Dappa Don, guaranteed to get you off your feet and skanking with his Michael Prophet-esque vocals and behind him, the playaz, a superb lineup of reggae musicians with a firm hold on authentic reggae riddims. Strictly positive vibrations!
Support will be provided by our selectas backed by our resident live horns section, setting things off with some old school roots and running the dance till it done with some heavy steppas and rubadub. Music to make you jump and prance!
If that wasn't enough to get you down, Plantation Caribbean Bar & Restaurant are kindly offering discount food and drinks, just £5 for a portion of a veggie Chana Dhal or Jerk Chicken, Rice and Pea. Bristol's finest Caribbean food has never been so cheap! There will also be £3 pints, and £3 rum and mixers on offer with Plantation's homemade flavoured rums highly recommended.
