GLUE. design and fabrication is a small independent Bristol (UK) based business designing and fabricating sculptural contemporary lamps, lighting, furniture and objects alongside private art and design commissions.
Founder, Mark Harris has worked within the arts as an artist, technician, consultant and fabricator for galleries, artists, and designers since 1999.
Mark has a passion for materials in their most basic form such as concrete, steel, hardwoods and paints. This fascination of material is what informs his designs the most. From unlikely materials, Mark Harris manages to assemble lamps, furniture and objects which are sometimes delicate and other times brutalist.
Alongside the design and fabrication of unique and exciting lamps and furniture, Mark is collaborating with guest designers, makers and artists. These collaborations will build a fabulous community of vision and creativity!
GLUE.’s aim is to maintain sculptural uniqueness and exemplary service with all designs and products.

SAVAKIS BENNEDITO is Cristian Savakis and Bernnardo Bennedito. Our creative collaboration dates back to 2009. The first designs we conceived together were around that time—some coloured rope ceiling lamps for the flat we shared in São Paulo. Over the years, we’ve supported each other on various projects, and in 2020, we officially formed a partnership.
For Savakis Bennedito, we draw on our influences and passions from the worlds of art, nature, fashion, and architecture. These are all filtered through a subtle ‘tropical lens,’ but in a non-obvious way. The Brazilian Neo-Concrete art movement inspires us with the idea of design driven by sensoriality—objects that make sense in terms of form and color, but more importantly, when we interact with, touch, and engage with them.
Our inspiration comes from the things and experiences that move us—through dreams, the emotional memories of our childhoods, and Brazilian nature and art.
Savakis Bennedito is about dreaming together.

Philippa Lawrence is an artist based at Spike Island, Bristol and a Principal Lecturer at Cardiff School of Art and Design on the Artist, Designer: Maker course. Her practice is most often site-specific, and she works across a broad material base with the natural environment at its core. She has exhibited widely both nationally and internationally, most recently a solo exhibition at Thelma Hulbert Gallery, Honiton and RWA, Bristol in Spring 2025.
Guest Designer
Marcus Jefferies was born in Bristol, UK, and studied fine art at Wimbledon School of Art, London. He currently works and lives in Bristol and is based at Spike Island Studios. Jefferies maintains a diverse practice that incorporates, painting, sculpture, installation and design. Each field of interest informs the other to create intertwining relationships. The built environment often forms a backdrop to his work where new narratives evolve through the exploration of site, scale and memory.
