Afternoon tea and crafts with a sparkle of prayer and honouring.
I invite you to relax, connect and create in a home of love, a private space that welcomes unity among all beings.
We are meeting to honour our roots, to pray and meditate with our ancestors, to open a channel of creativity. This is an opportunity to meet like-minded people, to share how you feel in a safe space or just to create and bond.
In honouring our lineage, you are invited to bring an item that represents your ancestors to add to the altar. Additionally, you can bring an item you wish to offer as a gift or to exchange with another participant. Please try to bring something that is practical and in good condition, pre-loved items are encouraged.
Proposed schedule:
1.15- 1:30 pm: Arrival
1.30- 1:45 pm: Meditation and opening circle
1:45- 2:30 pm: First part of the craft session
2:30- 2:45 pm: Tea break and movement exercises
2.45- 4:00 pm: Second part of the craft session
4:00- 4:30 pm: Exchanging gifts and contacts (only if you wish).
Please do your best to arrive on time.
Tea and treats included! If you wish to bring a snack to share, the safest option to avoid allergens would be fruits. 10% of profit is donated to I HEART AFRICA charity supporting children in Democratic Republic of Congo. Tea and treats included.
We will sit at a table on chairs. If you wish to bring your favourite blankie or cushion for extra super comfy vibes, please do. It is ideal for you to have a minimum of experience in hand-sewing of general crafts. Everyone is welcome, especially the diaspora community.
