The Amy Jane Black Show - Charity Fundraiser at PRSC
See event details

A event held at PRSC on Friday 19th June. The event starts at 19:30.

Come along to our South West Comedy Extravaganza at PRSC to raise money for Bristol-based charity Hope Against Suicide, in memory of our good friend Amy Jane Black.

Amy had her first gig at The People's Comedy and went on to perform many more times, developing and refining her voice. She was a magical thinker who looked at the world critically, with an eye suspicious of injustice, but also with a childlike vibrancy. She made many friends before sadly passing away and leaving the world devoid of her colourful glow.

In the last few months of her life, she had started to plan a night called The Amy Jane Black Show, where she wanted to run a writers group, followed by a family show, followed by a late night show - platforming comics whose voice she enjoyed.

So we thought it was only right to run this fundraiser under that banner. And whilst we couldn't commit to the 6hr spectacle she had in mind, we're hoping that we do the late show justice! So come, raise a glass or a tinnie, have some laughs and raise some funds for a great local cause, in memory of great local lady.
