School of Activism Presents: Everyone is Responsible at PRSC
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"In 1974 the death of imprisoned West German film student and Red Army Faction fighter Holger Meins led to waves of protest across Europe and militant action in his name. Experimental film collective Filmgruppe Chaos present a 16mm exploration of the legacy of Meins and the RAF, alongside a discussion with the filmmakers and contributors."

A event held at PRSC on Monday 26th January. The event starts at 18:45.

Experimental film by Filmgruppe Chaos, about one of the prominent figures of the left-wing student-led social movement in West Germany: Lutz Taufer. + a discussion with filmmaker Karsten Weber and protagonist Lutz Taufer, as well as three supporting short films.

Long conversations about the 1968 movement, the Red Army Faction, 20 years in prison, working in a Brazilian favela and today’s political conditions form the basis of the film ‘Jeder ist verantwortlich’ (Everyone is Responsible). It was shot with an Arriflex camera on 16mm black-and-white film, which was then developed by hand. The film could have been made by an underground filmmaker of the 1960s.

There will also be three short films, and afterwards a discussion with Lutz Taufer and the filmmaker.

DOORS at 6:30pm, films from 7pm, discussion with filmmaker and Lutz Taufer from 8:30pm.
