‘Oscar’s Tower of Flowers’ Kids Reading Group at PRSC
See event details

A event held at PRSC on Thursday 14th April. The event starts at 10:30.

Oscar’s Tower of Flowers, by Bristol-based illustrator Lauren Tobia, is a beautiful wordless picture book. Oscar is staying with his gran and needs something to cheer him up. Together they grow lots of plants and when the flat is full they share them with the rest of the block.

Lauren will be joining us for this event, at which we will read the book then have a brief discussion about what it makes us feel, imagine and think. Attendees can then colour in a flower picture and/or plant a flower seed to take away, to brighten somewhere up or give to someone to share the love!

The event is recommended for kids up to around age 6/7.

Pay-what-you-can - the suggested donation of £4 will help us keep the School of Activism as accessible & low-cost as possible, £8 will subsidise a ticket for someone else - but no-one turned away through lack of funds!

The School of Activism 3.0 is a month long programme of workshops, talks and activities brought to you by Peoples Republic of Stokes Croft. Running at PRSC during April 2022, the events are intended to be empowering experiences equipping people with the tools to challenge the status quo, contest power structures and ultimately to change the world.

We learn by doing. We make our own future.
