A event held at PRSC on Thursday 16th April. The event starts at 19:30.
Whether you're an experienced rigger looking for a relaxed jam space, a curious beginner eager to learn the ropes or simply looking for community over shared interests - this is for you! Our Shibari Rope Jam is a welcoming event focused on connection, creativity, and skill-sharing.
There are two ticket options available: Jam only and Jam + Tuition.
The jam offers space for self-led tying, collaborative exploration, or learning through observation and exchange, with 2 suspension points available and support from more experienced folk in the room.
The Jam + Tuition ticket includes a guided session at the start of the evening.
This is open to:
Absolute beginners who have never touched rope before
Those with some experience who want to refine their foundations. The teaching will be rooted in strong basics, covering things like fundamental harnesses, transitions (linking ties together), and building confidence and flow — with options to explore slightly more advanced variations while staying beginner-friendly
The beginner lessons run for the first half of the jam, until roughly 9:30pm, at which point they merge with the general jam.
We provide snacks, water, tea and coffe and some communal rope but also BYO rope if you have it.
We have the space from 7pm which is when we will begin setting up, and you are welcome to come early, but we will only be 'officially' starting the event and teaching from 7:30pm.
Some house rules:
Photography is permitted but make sure you have the consent of anyone in the photos to take them, and also to post them. If you capture anyone in the background please blur/crop them out when posting.
If you're coming by yourself you can ask to tie with other people, but please be mindful how you approach people, do not interrupt ongoing scenes, and respect that no means no, and that you are not owend an explanation if someone doesn't want to tie with you.
Strictly no shoes on the matts.
