See event details

A event held at PRSC on Tuesday 21st November. The event starts at 18:30.

(Tickets are pay-what-you-can with a suggested minimum donation of £3.00 in order to help cover venue costs. There are some limited free tickets as well for comrades who will struggle to contribute this.)

Marxist Microdoses are a short and simple introduction to some big socialist ideas, and a chance to chat and ask questions. In this session we'll be looking at The State - and what actually is Communism? There is lots of talk about: smashing the state, state power, a workers' state. But what exactly is the State - is it good, bad or neutral? What does it do and how does it work? And when we are looking at all of the things that are soul-crushing under capitalism - just how would living in a communist future be different? What would be the main differences to how the world looks now? Come and join us
---------------------------------
Struggling alone to get to grips with the concepts of Marxism can be tough to get your head round, so come and learn with us! We’ll be covering 2 key ideas each month. There will be a short explanation of each and then lots of time to discuss and ask questions and share what we know. Come and join in.

Sessions will happen at 6:30pm on Tuesdays on Oct 24th and Nov 21st, with more dates to be confirmed in the new year.
