House of Disco presents a true house music legend: Mr Paul Bleasdale
From seemingly humble beginnings, Paul began his ascension to DJ royalty way back in 1989 as a resident DJ of Liverpool’s Baa Bar at the spritely age of just 18.
In 1992, when he was asked to play a new intimate night by co-founder of iconic club Nation, Darren Hughes. This intimate night would be called Cream.
For the next six years Paul became integral to the colossal rise of Cream – where he regularly provided the soundtrack in the Annexe Room alongside such legendary DJs as Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox and Sasha.
By the mid-90s, Paul was touring the world under the Cream banner. Accolades were mounting up as his career progressed. Making it into the DJ Mag top 100 and being crowned Muzik’s leading resident DJ. It was not long before Bleasdale and Oakenfold would go on to the Cream Courtyard Arena to create some of the most amazing shows that are still revered today.
Paul continued to tour the world under the Cream brand before taking some time out of the scene to pursue his love for videography. After some six years away from the decks, Paul answered the calling for his return and began to return to venues across Liverpool.
Bookings began to flood in once again and it wasn’t long before he was back on the UK circuit at classic events like Creamfields and Golden Dance Fest and Colours in Glasgow. 2016 saw Paul produce tracks on the new Big Fist label, all reaching the top spot in the DJ Trackitdown charts, and with his own branded tours in the pipeline and regular tours abroad, 2018 and beyond look like very exciting times
