Welcome Queers, Dears, and Butch Peers to the Christmas party you've been waiting for.
Bristol Butch Bar would love to welcome you to come together this festive season for an evening of music, poetry, bring and share buffet, and stupid karaoke.
Why Anti-Xmas? Many queer people struggle around Christmas, and this is our chance to fuck all that off and spend the dark winter days with our chosen family.
You do not have to be butch to attend. Friends, family, and any who appreciate butch people are all invited. If you think this space might be right for you, IT IS FOR YOU!
Tickets are pay what you can from £0 upwards. Suggested donation £5. If you feel you can't afford it, please feel free to pay £0 and come along, we want you there.
All/any funds raised will go towards Butch Bar activities in 2023.

Facilities
This event will be held at the Queens Head, 286 Fishponds Rd, Eastville, Bristol BS5 6PY (not the one down in Easton!).
The venue has a very small step/lip to enter, then once inside, step free access to toilets. There is another step to access the outside space. There are large toilet cubicles, tables, and some chairs without arm rests.
We will have buffet food, bring a dish along to share.
There will be the England/Wales football game on in the pub 7.30-8.45. Feel free to watch the game, or to be out in the garden for the open mic at this time away from the game.
COVID
We will be doing the open mic section outside, and you are free to stay outside in the large garden to minimise your risk. You may want to layer up with your best Xmas jumper to stay cosy.
If you have any cold or flu like symptoms, please don't come.
If you’ve been out somewhere super busy in the last 2-3 days consider wearing a mask/let folks nearby know so they can risk assess for themselves
We are all responsible for each other & our actions, and we want to take care of each others health.
Safer Spaces
As a group, Bristol Butch Bar is about creating solidarity & community, holding butches & their GNC & trans histories. Our rule is that everyone at our events or in our online spaces must be kind & respectful.
We will have designated "Dadmins" at this event to help with any questions and hold space. If you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, come and find a Dadmin wearing an armband. We will listen to you and we will believe you.
So come along, wear your best tweed, and GET SILLY WITH US
