A event on Wednesday 12th January. The event starts at 19:30.

Announcing GET QWEIRD: A Playground For Queer Art, launching on Wednesday 12th January - Wednesday 30th March 2022 at The QueenShilling . During this 12 week residency of experimental art and performance we'll have 11 Queer performance artists experimenting with drag and live art, seeing how we can push the boundaries of performance in a Qweird and wonderful way. The first two weeks will be cabaret style performance to introduce our artists, and then from there we plan to be a bit more playful with how we use the space, experimenting with more immersive ways of engaging with our audiences. Each week we will have a resident DJ performing, working alongside emerging queer talent to support them in developing their practice. This residency is fully funded by Arts Council England for which we are super grateful and excited! All of the work displayed will be experimental, work in progress material that we will be developing in relationship to the space, the audience and the other artists on the residency. So please come join us as we play, explore, experiment and community build. Our shows will be free entry with donation on the door to different LGBTQIA+ groups and organisations including @outspacesw and Freedom Youth. Artist announcements COMING SOON. Stay tuned.......
