Expect playful exercises (physical theatre), holding yoga postures (30 seconds), cross lateral movement & strengthening exercise (of your choice), Wise Owl Gazes Backward (Qi Gong)... and dancing to your favourite tune (morning rave)!

Dori Jo @dori___jo is a trained mime performer and a martial art enthusiast. Drawing on her experience from facilitating "Slow Cycling Bike Rides" across Bristol and hosting "Hush City - What do you do when you do you?", an offline co-relaxing space in the Arts Mansion at Ashton Court, she is now launching her brand new event concept "Dance upon a time".

There will be group exercises, one-to-one and solo exercises.

The goal of the class is to flood your system with Serotonin, make you chuckle, swell your heart... giving you a head start for the day.
Are you a morning bird? Nor am I. I hope to meet fellow morning "grumps".

This is an open-level class. You can select a posture or movement from your own toolkit within a specified timeframe and modality, or follow along my demonstrations. If you're running late, don't worry, you can join in any time.

Please bring headphones/earphones with you and a music playing device (your phone) and think about songs/tracks that make you want to move! (Any genre, any move = dancing people are never wrong.)
