Rockaway / Myth & Lore Zine & Literature Fest on Saturday, May 18th, from 12 to 4 PM.

Located at Rockaway Park recently labelled 'scrapheap challenge meets Disneyland', entry to this vibrant event is encouraged with a suggested £2 donation, supporting the space's hosting and fostering of artistic endeavours, but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds.

All workshops and talks by donation to those running them on the day... So please bring cash, parking is available onsite for a £5 donation. We're also near regular buses to and from Bristol city centre!

Rockaway is fully accessible including parking and toilets. Family friendly and dogs on leads welcome.

- Tracy Heather Johnson: Prize winning writer whose stories are being TV adapted is opening our event with an exclusive reading!

- Bumblepunk: Lino printing workshop and hand-carved prints for sale

- We Are Zanna: Zines and limited prints, making art accessible for all

- Let Zoe Spoil You: Queer Cosmic Horror and Homoerotic Monster Boys art, novels, and a folklore-inspired writing talk

- Kooky Books: Based in SPARKS Bristol, selling beautiful upcycled books and offering an origami workshop.

- Left Cultures: Publications celebrating diverse voices on the Left

- Söber: Introspective and spooky artworks

- Gemma's Funky Art : Art inspired by fungi, fantasy, and British folklore

- Boswellian Artifacts: Eco-friendly prints, T-shirts, weird fiction, and underground comics and zines

- SAMOCO BOOKS: Occult and counterculture-inspired creations including zines and comics

- Forest of Zine: Bicycle-based zine library showcasing nature-based and journey-themed zines, along with a zine-making workshop

- Dispress: South West punk zine featuring interviews, gig reviews, and art submissions

- Weird Grandma: Visual art and writings exploring legacy, trauma, and rebirth

- Sally Carini Arts: Special book-related oddities

- Black and Bone: Macabre folklore and myth-inspired illustrations on handmade khadi Indian paper, offering a glimpse into magical worlds.

- A slow death in the south west - Screen printed lit goodies and a second-hand book sale

- Myth & Lore: Co-host Somerset based Zine amplifying inclusive storytelling through mythology and folklore

- Kate Evans - cartoonist, author, public speaker, activist, mother: Hosting a talk about their life in cartoons and Q&A

- Pawla - community painter in vibrant colours

Not forgetting the vegan cafe which will be serving food, snacks, cakes and drinks.
