DIY Culture Weekend — Commoners Choir x Rockaway Park

Fri 26 – Sun 28 June
Rockaway Park, Temple Cloud

A full weekend of DIY culture: music, workshops, exhibitions, conversations, films and making things together with a mix of affordable and free activities.

Protest songs, political printmaking, choirs, comics, banners, typewriters, culture jamming and shared skills across the whole site.

Vegan hot food, cakes and drinks from the café all weekend.
Family friendly. Well‑behaved dogs on leads welcome.
Open studios + exhibitions running throughout.

Friday 26th June 

6pm — How to Homegrow a Radical Choir - £5

Tips, talk and some singing with Boff Whalley of Chumbawamba and Commoners Choir.

A conversation about building community through singing, with practical ideas and a chance to join in.

7pm — Art and Stencil Printing with Illustrator and artist Jonny Hannah – Wear Your Protest! Bring an item of clothing - £5

Saturday 27th June

12 Midday — 'Speak Up' Exhibition Opening' Political and Protest art and print featuring work by Gee Vaucher, Jeremy Deller, Anthony Burrill, Rickard Sisters – Free

With DIY Culture Discussion featuring

2pm — Pop up Choir Workshop - £5

Come and learn a new song to perform at the evening's concert with Commoners Choir. No experience needed.
