**Bishopskin**
Folk and blues influences blend with a brand of powerful mayhem which has its roots in punk and noise, deep, introspective lyrics guide the transition from thrumming, soulful rock into airy, layered ballad. All is brought together by Bishopskin’s own trademark earthy, expressive vocals and virtuoso guitar riffs. It is an experience that goes beyond music – a daring exploration of feeling and voice that seems in places to break the boundaries of performance art.

“Bishopskin’s sound explores a musical landscape tread hundreds of years before, but presents
something wholly revelatory”
- So Young Magazine

“Bishopskin create music that contains both the glassy slickness of modernity and the essential, humming, throb of music at the beginning of language”
- Totally Wired Magazine

Originally from the land of Irn Bru, she has since made Bristol her forever home.
Singer, songwriter, DJ, and co-founder of the brilliantly weird Banana Sessions. Roberta Pia sings honest songs about the highs, the lows, humans, the world, and back in the day when jukeboxes weren’t shit. It all began with a broken heart and evolved into something much bigger than that.
