A
gig
held at Rough Trade Bristol
on Saturday 8th December. The event starts at 14:00.
For 5 years, Wax Music has prided itself in solely focusing on some of the most exciting and vibrant creatives blossoming within the realm of music. It's time to celebrate reaching such a marker, and to do so we're inviting friends old and new to join us for an all-day event at Rough Trade.
Hotel Lux
Piercing, rampant and pivotal. Hotel Lux woke up amongst the bloated incumbents and pissed-up side streets of tasteless England and crafted something utterly unrefined yet defiantly sharp in the process. An absolute force.
YOWL
Incensed by anxiety and existentialism, Yowl use ferocity and a keen way with a word to find a sense of primal release. Exasperated by the world around them, they are a searing, undeviating prospect, one that's becoming a definitive voice.
Squid
If 'The Dial' is anything to go by, who knows what we can expect from Squid. They are indefinable, and all the better for it, characterised simply by their sheer energy and penchant for creating something exciting. Cannot be missed.
Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard
The prodigal sons, blessed are those who bear witness to these four future icons of rock. Jubilant spirit, melodic finesse and the finest cuts of denim are the order of the day, driven to the max by pure exultation in songwriting.
Sock
Colourful, expressive undertones meet sultry, eloquent conveyance as Sock traverse this world simply attempting to find something fun to do within it all. Highly encompassing and understated, they will effortlessly charm you over.
Private World
Intimate, luscious textures meets enigmatic eclecticism with Private World. 'Passage', their new EP, channels their vivid notions and amorous, tender fascinations and paints it all into bold, evocative imagery.
LAZARUS KANE
Not much is known about the elusive Lazarus Kane, apart from small mutterings around the city about it perhaps being a new project from a beloved Bristol band. We're excited.
