A
gig
held at Rough Trade Bristol
on Sunday 16th November. The event starts at 12:00.
The FÊTE OF BRITAIN is a rolling festival celebrating the Britain that we hold in our hearts. In the face of division across these Isles, it’s time to reclaim a nationwide pride in a country that is rooted in care & inclusion.
Celebrating the curry and Corrie, Windrush and Windermere. Uniting nations and neighbourhoods.
Bringing together bands, organisers, sound systems, local legends, printmakers, poets and more.
From 2025, the Fête is touring the country putting on gigs and collaborating with festivals. Working with artists and community organisers doing the work to build a better future.
Eve Appleton Band
EAB (or Eve Appleton Band) come with bible-black parables, dancing music and ballads, played against a background of a modernised full and rich folk inspired band music.
Instrumentation that warms the heart, this time stripped to the core of their songs for maximum loveliness. EAB as a project has taken on personal tales of hardship, glee and everything in between in song form with tones of 60s Folk Revival, Americana, and alternative yet super danceable Folk.
Make sure you’re part of the next “rain-soaked yet quickly charmed crowd” (NME) they play to, hopefully without the rain… no promises.
Trans-Siberian Express
Sharp suits,, angular synths,, dueling guitars,, and lots of instruments. Combining an ensemble of influences and big performances with a chorus of vocals creating a sound only known as Schwank Splurge pop.
Trans-Siberian Express are no strangers to the non-traditional. Having started life as the house band to a squat, they levelled up to playing Barber shops, care homes and Elevators.... a few years on and with a handsome signature 6, the band have been on the road around the UK, making friends with every audience they meet.
