A
gig
held at Rough Trade Bristol
on Thursday 23rd April. The event starts at 19:30.
On 23 April, Bristol Songwriting Circle arrives at Rough Trade Bristol. In a seated and cosy setting, songs will be stripped-back and shared, with the stories of how they were written woven in between. It is the sound of songwriters talking shop, swapping ideas, and keeping the troubadour spirit alive.
Luke Sital-Singh brings his finely wrought, emotionally direct songwriting to the room. Known for his intimate records, international tours, and songs that have travelled far beyond the stage through major television placements, seeing Luke perform in such an informal space will be a truly rare treat.
The award-winning singer-songwriter Blair Dunlop will be our host for the night, guiding the conversation with his famous blend of warmth and wit. A true roaming troubadour, his career spans five acclaimed albums and stages across the world, always grounded in story and craft.
Somerset songwriter Kitty Macfarlane makes a welcome comeback to live performance, sharing songs shaped by landscape, listening, and the natural world. We’ve been waiting for her return to the scene for quite some time, and are honoured she’s chosen our night to do so.
We will also be welcoming a rising songwriter from BIMM Bristol, before all four artists join together to end the evening with a one-off collaboration.
Think of it as wandering into a private jam session, pulling up a chair, and staying a whole lot longer than planned.
Entry requirements: 14+, any under 18s accompanied by 21+ adult 1:1 ratio
