A
gig
held at Rough Trade Bristol
on Thursday 26th April. The event starts at 20:00.
Stop one of two of the Spectres / Housewives / E B U package tour. This will be our first show in the new Rough Trade so we thought it would only be right to give the soundsystem a proper test.
SPECTRES will play their first non festival show in Bristol since last April's quite stupid DISSOLVE night at the Exchange. A lot has changed for them since then, but they are still as sonically depraved and caustic as ever and have some upcoming release news on it's way.
HOUSEWIVES are a London based experimental four piece creating music on the boundary between noise and sound. Their austere, rhythmically charged music has a distinctively cold, minimalist edge; abrasive guitars blend with droning bass lines and propulsive, relentless drums.
E B U is fresh from headlining the first night of January's New Year / New Noise where she rightly stunned the audience via sounds and movement from another sphere, as though she was beamed in directly from the temple of Laurie Anderson.
