We're all about spell-binding spoken word and magical music-making; inspiring creativity in writing, performance, and interaction.

Thursday 4th April is set to be another beaut, headlined by mesmeric spoken word sensation, Ben Vince.

ABOUT THE SHOW

Tonic events feature a music/spoken word Open Mic to invite performers onto our stage and mic, along with a Scratch Showcase of brand new works. We hold a Post-Show Social after all our events to celebrate all the amazing voices in our community: both audience members and performers.

Come join this brimming community of writers, art-lovers and all-round gorgeous folk.

ACCESSIBILITY

Rough Trade has accessible facilities and is wheelchair-friendly from front door to the stage.

BEN VINCE

Ben Vince is a Bristol-based poet and performer, whose work has been featured in Horizon magazine and The Mays. Ben was a commended Foyles Young Poet, and has edited for The Scores Journal of Poetry and Prose. Last November, Ben was a runner-up in the Bristol heat of the Mind Over Matter national slam, and will be competing in the London final this May. His work looks, longingly, always towards the intimate - the touch, the feeling, the love, the reeling of this place we call home.
