Dignan Porch + Swallow Cave | at Rough Trade at Rough Trade

A gig on Friday 14th September. The event starts at 19:30.

Dignan Porch

(Captured Tracks - Faux Discx records / London)

Having started life as the no-fi home recording project of lead singer Joseph Walsh, South London’s Dignan Porch have developed a sound that is laden with huge pop hooks, bone dry melancholia and skewed takes on everyday life. Their music is both effortlessly melodic and oddly haunting.

Commanding a cult following thanks to releases on the legendary Captured Tracks and Faux Discx and a long-running residency at the Brixton Windmill, Dignan Porch are venerated stalwarts of London’s DIY indie rock scene.

“Songs that seem to teeter on the brink of collapse yet are utterly beguiling” - Q

“Riffs so perfect they feel timeless” - FADER

“I’d at least kill a goat for this band. It’s that fucking good” - Vice

“Dignan Porch just make it sound effortless. Well, it is effortless for them. It’s real. It’s a pure crystallised idea, boiled down to something very simple. Joseph Walsh and the gang manage to capture a truly thrilling ride without letting up on the honesty.” — The Line of Best Fit
