DUNCE is the alias of south London based musician
& artist Tom Armstrong. Primarily equipped with trumpet
and 4-track tape machine, the project explores avant
-garde jazz, free improvisation and ambient terrain.
What began as a solo venture often utilises a wide
network of friends and musicians from the South
London underground music scene.
A co-creator of the improvisation collective ‘Exchange’,
member of no-wave jazz punk outfit ‘Findom’, and ‘Late
Works’ contributor, DUNCE released IT AM in early 2024
on MOTR records and is currently performing interpretations
of this material in his new trio featuring Henry Nicholson and
Elliott Batten.
Pixaban is A.L. Lacey (Alice-Louise Lacey) + Orryx (Christelle
Atenstaedt), two solo artists from Bristol blending visions to
carve out their own sonic territory. Their debut show promises
to weave together vocal drones, synths, piano, and spoken
word, creating a wholly distinctive sound.

Philippines born, New Zealand raised and now
residing in Bristol after some time meandering,
‘Gil’ is guitarist’s Michael Gianan’s latest project
with songs born from the past year in reflection
and movement to & fro. This serves as a departure
from writing guitar focussed instrumental jazz
music and delves into writing honest vehicles.
'Gil' aims to rein in or encourage a rogue music
making process through song with influences in
folk and bluegrass, indie-alternative, jazz and
improvised music.
