Mark McDowell & friends

Folk tales of past and present are backed with insightful arrangements and exotic instrumentation. Taking inspiration from the early seventies folk scene as well as a pioneering experimental approach, Mark McDowell records and performs with a regular cast of talented collaborators.

Regular live work showcases last years releases along with the exciting development of material for this year’s autumn scheduled album. The current live duo is comprised of Mark McDowell Vocal Guitars and David Gould Bouzouki and Mandolin and strings.

2013 saw the release of three well-received EP’s in collectable bespoke packaging as well as a seven-inch single ‘Girls of Belvoir’ issued by Fruits de Mer Records and played on the Radio Six Music Gideon Coe show.
