“With the participation of Keith Piper and Bryan Biggs (Bluecoat Gallery), this event brings together artists, academics and people involved in ‘Trophies of Empire’ to look in detail at this far-reaching exhibition. The afternoon will begin with an in-conversation between Piper, Biggs and Louis Hartnoll (Afterall), and is followed by a roundtable led by Research Fellow Dr Anjalie Dalal-Clayton (University of the Arts London). In between the two public discussions, attendees will have the chance to look through a range of materials related to the exhibition held in the
Arnolfini Archive.”

“We have been asked many times if under 18s can come to our shows. Unfortunately due to licensing on some venues we haven't been able to set this up, until now! So if you are 14+ come along and enjoy one hell of a show!”

“Brighton based 3 piece Gender Roles are the hazy singalong soundtrack to a summer pool party with your best mates. The last 12 months saw the band release their second EP ‘Lazer Rush’ to critical acclaim, playing gigs across the UK & Europe touring with bands such as Touche Amore, Pup and Milk Teeth. As well as receiving several Radio 1 & BBC6 Music plays, the band were also selected by Spotify for global New Music Friday playlist for their single ‘Plastic’. In 2019 Gender Roles will release their debut album, recorded by Ian Sadler at Emeline Studios, through Big Scary Monsters Recordings.”
