Events on Saturday 6th April
“It is inspired by the World Transformed festival, which takes place alongside the Labour Party conference, and is planned and run by a group of volunteers. We were impressed by the quality and diversity of the program, the parties and the audience, and we want to bring that spirit to Bristol!”

“VESTIGIλL bring to Bristol Lowen. They are female fronted Middle-eastern doom band from London. Imagine if Acid King were born in the Middle East, with utterly mesmerizing melodies and insanely space riffin'. That is them. Proof to this is their song 'The Fortress of Blood' from 'A Crypt in the Stars' released in 2017, strongly recommended. Venue is our favourite Old England. Doors 7pm. By buying a ticket you are supporting already the artists more than you think you are, so come along.”

“Now some 30 years later, Kris and Mark decided to reform for annual reunion shows to celebrate the release of their 2016 recorded works anthology “Beautiful Monsters” (Singles & Demo Recordings 1984-86) on Optic Nerve Recordings and to honour the memory of their friend and former frontman. They are joined by John Hamilton and Nick Clift, who played in a second incarnation of Folk Devils from 1986-87, and Dave Hodgson on vocals, former singer for post-punk band Parting Shots.”

“It's impossible to describe Alex Neilson's sophomore solo album Otterburn without first addressing the cataclysmic event that led up to it. On the 29th of April 2017, Alex's brother Alastair died peacefully and unexpectedly in his sleep on his canal boat in Leeds. The youngest of three boys, Alastair embodied all his family's best qualities and was a charming and spontaneous friend to anyone lucky enough to cross his path.”

“Featuring Blythe Pepino, Kit Hawes, Pete Josef and Sam Brookes - This is a special project where four artists come together to celebrate the music of John Martyn. Each brings their own story and connection to John’s music which adds to the fabric of the overall experience of the project.”
