See event details

A event held at Sidney & Eden on Saturday 28th March. The event starts at 20:00.

Hahahaggis returns to Sidney & Eden to showcase more celtic talent, alongside this show's socially acceptable Englishman. Show #6, Union of the Clowns, is a comedy poetry special - with one bard from each of the UK's home nations.

Starring:
Headliner - Edward Tripp
Opener - Mat Troy
Middle - Stephen Bisland
Englishman - Sam Riot
MC - Lynsey Smart

About the acts:
Edward Tripp is a multiple-slam winning performance poet, comedian, and former Bard of Exeter. Using poetry, props and the occasional theatrical effect, Edward performs at comedy nights and spoken word festivals across the UK.

"Seek Edward out like buried treasure" - Spencer Jones, Comedian and Actor
"Utterly unexpectable and very moreish" - Kate Copstick, The Scotsman

===
Mat Troy - Welsh performer, poet, playwright, horror writer and storyteller. Mat stitches together the mundane with the macabre, usually in his lab late at night with a dash of lightning. Mat has written comedy for BBC Radio Wales & Cardiff TV, was a finalist of the 2016 UK Sitcom Trials, and his horror play Dead Air will be returning to theatres this winter.

“A fine, if occasionally alarming, analytical comedy mind.” - Dr Dean Burnett, bestselling author and neuroscientist.

===
Sam Riot - Mad, bad and Bishopston’s new poetic low, award-winning poet Sam Riot is on a one-man gonzo mission into the dark corners of modern British living.

A high-octane verse raconteur of the hilarious, the profane, the outrageous and the downright unbelievable, Sam founded RIOT ACT- Bristol’s madcap open mic cabaret club night- in a desperate attempt to escape the grit, grime and peril of life as a kerbside urban poet.

===
Stephen Bisland - As seen on HBO, SKY and BBC, Stephen is fast becoming a voice of a generation - unfortunately it's not his own.

"Angry, philosophical, stoic" Bristol 24/7
"Excellent team player" from the LinkedIn profile of a different Stephen Bisland.

===
Lynsey Smart - Scottish comedian Lynsey Smart is a chaos potato and magnet for the ridiculous. She flip flops between silly stories and seizing every chance for a dad joke.

"Great stage presence and really strong writing." - Nick Page
"A relaxed friendly style and sharp, smart punchlines" - Jeremy Flynn
