Following her sold-out show at Aberystwyth Comedy Festival, join Amy Mason (The Islanders, Mass) for the first outing of her brand-new comedy hour in Bristol. Supported by the wonderful Alasdair Wallace (BBC New Act of the Year shortlist).
Free Mason charts Amy's first couple of years after coming out as queer in her late 30s, and explores the many ways the world holds us back. Expect material on parenting, dating, and the patriarchy.
This will be a script-in-hand sharing. It contains brief mentions of sexual assault and themes of mental illness.
Alasdair Wallace is "one of the most exciting new voices in the South West", "a genuine joy to watch", and "fond of misleading quotation marks". Having overcome his Birmingham accent, his latest challenge is to tell a story without getting distracted.
LGBTQ New Act of the Year semifinalist. Shortlisted for BBC New Comedy Awards. Regular host /nuisance at Bristol's legendary Oppo Comedy.
