Edinburgh Comedy Previews: Louise Leigh & June Tuesday at Sidney & Eden

A event held at Sidney & Eden on Wednesday 8th July. The event starts at 19:30.

JUNE TUESDAY:

"BBC comedy writer, award-nominated comedian, and Bristol comedy night icon June Tuesday rolls out a work-in-progress of her second show, 00s Throwback Party, expect PowerPoint, gags, and a hilarious show that has some coherence in the mayhem."

00s Throwback Party

Fad diets. Flip phones. MySpace. MSN. Getting pulled out of mainstream education and sent to a 60 student Evangelical Fundamentalist school in the valleys. Juno. Jackass. The Rock wasn’t bald yet. Neither was Britney.

In June’s own words, “It’s been Twenty Years Since U Been Gone, I Can't Decide if I Hate Everything About You or I Miss You.” Come join a teenage emo trans kid drama queen as we figure out if the era was toxic or the greatest decade in the World.

LOUISE LEIGH

A wordsmith trapped in an idiot’s body, Louise Leigh has spent the last year researching octopuses. She has also spent the last year on the motorway, and a lifetime surrounded by men. These things are more connected than you think.
Eight facts about the octopus, one recurring conclusion. Louise Leigh brings you the show she didn't plan to make.
Octopus is an hour of mostly stand-up, music and frankly inadvisable home-made costumes, stitched around eight things Louise has learned about her favourite animal.
