KOC go West! That’s right the Kings of Colour Initiative are hitting the road to take over Brizzle Boiz, Bristol’s premier night of queer punk drag king cabaret for a decadent DOUBLE SHOW.
The KOC Initiative has been storming the London cabaret scene with their sell out hit shows. Set up by rising star Zayn Phallic to address the lack of diversity on the drag king scene, their aim is to celebrate and nourish POC performers by not only showcasing their talent in their own exclusive night, but by providing mentoring and support to new kings of colour keen to take to the stage. Through their all POC drag king super shows, they are bringing some much needed colour to the drag king scene.
Join the KOC Initiative and the Brizzle Boiz team for a sensational evening of Drag King cabaret featuring some of the hottest POC talent on the cabaret scene.
STARRING:
LUCIUS BLAC - Joining us from our FRESH MEAT mentoring programme, Lucius is suave but sleazy. He'll steal your girl and probably your bank details.
LIL TEST EASE - Book smart and street smart but a dumbass with the ladies. Super talented comic KEMAH BOB returns to the KOC Initiative with their hilarious small-balled drag king alter ego.
ROYALE BLOOD - Your friendly neighbourhood singing vampire. He'll be bringing his guitar, his smooth vocals and his fangs but he promises not to bite... too hard.
ROMEO DE LA CRUZ - The energetic, enigmatic, the original legend of the drag king scene himself returns to show us his smooth moves and maybe even a little fetish or two?
With extra special guest:
COCO DEVILLE - The AWARD-WINNING, INTERNATIONAL and CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED neo cabaret artist COCO DEVILLE is joining us. A true cabaret chameleon, her unique twist on the burlesque genre fuses body positivity, sharp wit, dynamic dance and theatrics.
And ZAYN PHALLIC - Known for nudity and mess on-stage and collaboration and community off it. Zayn Phallic is the creator and curator of the KOC Initiative and your host for evening.
