Fatih Akin's (Head On, In the Fades) marvellous musical journey through Istanbul gets a twentieth anniversary outing at the Southbank Club. With Alexander Hacke (bassist with Einsturzende Neubaten) as its guide, the film deftly showcases the vibrant Istanbul music scene with Turkish rap, hip-hop, gypsy, Kurdish dirges, sufi devotional music, prog rock, and pop music all making an appearance.
