"Our second medieval themed event in as many weeks (don’t call it a trend - it’s never gone away). It’s a folk hoedown at the delightful Southbank, maybe the only place you can request Greensleeves without weird looks. Bring your own cloak."

A
gig
held at SouthBank
on Sunday 27th March. The event starts at 19:00.
Sometimes we theme our monthly Ceilidhs and what says March more than the marching of a feudal knight to the sounds of a 15th century folk song? Well, perhaps a few things, but the Medieval era is what we are going for this month. That means ye olde tunes, ye oldish dances and an excellent costume opportunity!
If you haven't been to one of our Ceilidhs before, do not fear, this is as good a time to start as any. We have two very experienced and friendly callers who explain every dance to the whole group before they begin. Once you've done a few dances you can't help but have made friends in the room, so don't be shy to come alone either. As always the dances are accompanied by our live folk band with an energy that's sure to get even the most weary king/queen moving!
Tickets are £8 if you buy them online here and £10 on the door.
Southbank Club is a spacious venue in Bedminster (very near Dean Lane Skatepark) with a good bar, friendly bar staff and a big beer garden.
