Come together for a seasonal celebration where we’ll share in the magic of improvised, a cappella song! At this showcase of Collaborative Vocal Improvisation you’re welcome to simply listen, but if you fancy a sing we’ll be giving you some accessible ways to join in.
The invitation of yuletide is to gather and experience the warmth of human connection, and this is what our vocal improvisation class, Let’s Singprovise, has been all about. Now we want to throw open the doors so that others can experience our welcoming singers’ community, and the vibes that have left us (Danielle and Lise, the facilitators) feeling relaxed, nourished and connected after every class.
Our class regulars will take the lead in sharing with you some of the games and practices of Let’s Singprovise – with some special Christmas twists! Watch as we weave together looping vocals, harmonies and melody lines, without being limited to a particular genre, to make up music between us, on the spot.
All profits from the ticket sales will be donated to Bristol charity Caring in Bristol to support people experiencing homelessness through the Christmas period. Our suggested minimum donation is £5 per ticket.
Doors open at 8pm. Please note that 8:25pm is the cut-off time for entry and unfortunately it won’t be possible to admit anyone who arrives after this time. We’ll have singing from 8:30-10pm, with 30 mins of merry social time and mingling afterwards.
