on Saturday 18th February. The event starts at 19:30.
Join us for an evening of live Afro-Cuban singing, followed by an after party with DJ, playing Afro-Cuban music.
The culmination of a workshop series hosted by Pitchblend, and taught by UK specialists in Afro-Cuban music, Bombo Productions, we'll be performing as a forty strong scratch choir, singing Coro de Clave. A folk choir tradition that grew up in Cuba in the nineteenth century, Coro de Clave is characterised by complex rhythms and simple, but powerful and uplifting harmonies.
We've thoroughly enjoyed learning this music, and we're looking forward to sharing it with you!
There is no charge for entry, but a £5 donation is suggested. Bring your own bottle.
