Make Your Own Pride Banner From Fabric Offcuts at Sparks Bristol

A event held at Sparks Bristol on Saturday 4th July. The event starts at 14:00.

Last year we made a massive pride flag out of scrap fabrics, we let the community decorate it and hung it in the window at Sparks in time for Bristol Pride... this time we thought let's have everyone make their own and take it to the streets with them!!

We have lots of colourful and bold fabrics to choose from and we’ll show you how to stitch your own Pride banner. The design is completely up to you, make something that truly represents you! There will be lots of trims and glam bits to make your banner sparkle and stand out and you can use appliqué to add writing as well.

No previous skills required. All materials provided, but if you have any materials you'd like to use, feel free to bring them with you.

This event is a collaboration between Rethrindle CIC and Rebel Patch, two small slow fashion organisations, aiming to make sewing inclusive and accessible to everyone. This is why we try to make our workshops as affordable as possible. A limited number of concession spaces is available for each of our workshops. If you're looking to book a concession space but they're sold out, please contact us and we'll see what we can do. If you can, please consider getting a pay-it-forward ticket - every pay-it-forward ticket purchased enables us to offer another concession space for someone who needs it.
