A event held at Sparks Bristol on Sunday 27th September. The event starts at 12:00.
Tired of the slim pickings at regular clothes swaps? Feeling the need to refresh your wardrobe? Looking to find fat community in Bristol? Fat Clothes Swap Bristol is here to answer your plus-sized prayers.
- Sizes 16+ and XL+ only! If an item is without a size label, please use your noggin and only bring it if it will fit larger bodies.
- No diet/weight-loss/ozempic talk please!
- Queer run + safer space - please don't assume pronouns, and all clothes will be organised by type rather than gender.
- Free tea and coffee will be available.
- This space is proudly woke - ableism, fatphobia, racism, transphobia, or other bigotry will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave the event.
Attendees are encouraged to bring clothes to swap and donate. If you are not available for the event but would like to donate clothing, please message @fatclothesswapbristol on Instagram to arrange dropoff.
This event is free to attend, however if you are able to donate (suggested donation of £3-5) then we very much welcome it to put towards the costs of running this event.
ACCESSIBILITY: This event will be held at The Department of Discovery in Sparks, which is a step-free venue. You can find this space in the middle of Sparks' ground floor. There will be music playing and bright overhead lights. There will be seating available, mirrors, and a private changing space.
There are toilets accessible via two flights of stairs, alternatively use of the lift can be arranged, but please be aware that this can take a little while and will require the chaperoning of a duty manager as Sparks' regular lift is out of commission and the goods lift is the only one in use.
