Meisner Drop-In Session at Sparks Bristol
See event details

A event held at Sparks Bristol on Tuesday 10th March. The event starts at 18:30.

These drop-ins are for you if:

✨ You want your acting to feel alive, responsive, and rooted in the present moment

✨ You want regular practice without committing to the financial or time intensive burden of a full course

✨ You’re ready to do the work: bring your curiosity, throw yourself into the deep end, and you will see results

This is a mixed-level room. What we’re working on:

• Repetition work (you–you, you–I)
• “Calls” based on factual, observable behaviour
• Active listening, responsiveness, and staying in the moment

What we won’t be doing:

• Making calls designed to provoke or destabilise
• Using generic language to force a negative emotional reaction (e.g. “You’re stupid”)

What we expect from you:

• An open mind
• A positive attitude
• Willingness to participate with curiosity and generosity

Mind ya Business’s intent with this workshop is to give actors a space to improve their technique without damaging their psyche. We believe truthful acting does not require re-traumatisation or emotional self-harm to be effective.
