The Future Shall be Improvised

The science is clear, the climate crisis means that huge changes are coming to the planet and the way we live in coming decades. But what will this future look like? And what will it feel like to live through? From the everyday, to utopias and dystopias, the workshop will be a space to explore these questions in a fun and safe setting using improvisation to think about coping with adaptation and uncertainty.

The explorations will be inspired by a presentation from climate scientist and IPCC author Dr Joanna House on her research, followed by group discussions, and gentle improv scenes. There will be learning, laughter, and the end of the world as we know it.

Who is it for?

The workshop is for all experience levels, from those familiar with improv and climate activism to those who are new to these areas. You'll be supported to take part in a way that feels comfortable to you and sit and back to watch the parts of the workshop you prefer not to join. All ages are welcome but it is likely to be most engaging for 13+.

Tickets

Please cancel your ticket if you find yourself unable to attend so someone else can use your space. This also really helps us plan the session around numbers.
