A gig on Wednesday 24th June. The event starts at 19:00.
Come and wander with us...
as we gather to celebrate Summer Solstice and the longest day of the year.
Let’s show our gratitude towards the sun, the giver of all life and energy by marking the season turning with live music from The Fieldcaps, a story telling performance from Holly Foskett-Barnes, a welly wang, open mic, folktales, fire, tea, marshmallows and more.
Open mic session for anyone who wants to bring a song, story, poem or thought to share.
The solstice is a reminder of cyclical nature of life. Let’s make time to reconnect to nature on this midsummer’s celebration.
The Fieldcaps are an alt country and folk duo playing a combination of originals and traditionals through singing, melodic guitar and the hypnotic sound of a shuti box. A wonderful mix of drifting harmonies that whisk you away to times long past and lift the heart… the perfect sound for a sunset summer night.
Holly Foskett-Barnes
Holly’s art installation and performance weaves folklore and ritual to reimagine how we can process love and loss in nature. Journey with a mother along the banks of the river Wye and rekindle the ancient Celtic practice of… telling the bees.
