MAN AT SEA + GRACIE VAL at St. Ambrose
See event details

A gig on Thursday 6th June. The event starts at 19:30.

PLEASE NOTE - Emily Isherwood will no longer be performing. More details below.

Man at Sea has been praised for his distinctive style of introspective songwriting, blending poetic lyrics with soaring melodies. Often compared to the likes of Rufus Wainwright and Thom Yorke, his songs invite listeners to reflect on the human condition.

Following in the footsteps of classic songwriters, this intimate showcase will be a chance to hear a collection of old and new songs, performed on grand piano.

Support comes from singer-songwriter Gracie Val. Her music blends the intricate lyricism of folk, the melodic improvisation pf jazz and the emotional vulnerability of a pop ballad, with influences ranging from Joni Mitchell and Lizzy McAlpine to Tom Odell and Birdy.

As well as her most recent song 'Nervous' being featured numerous times on BBC Introducing, it recently won a competition leading to her support industry legend Jools Holland and playing to a crowd of 3000 people strong.
