Rah - music for free dancing

Rah - music for free dancing at St Anne’s Church, Greenbank

An event on Friday 16th October. The event starts at 20:00.

Rah! is a Bristol free-improv collective, practising every other month at the Light of St Anne’s Church, Greenbank

This time, the practice is open to dancers.

We’ll be playing entirely improvised music built around shared pulse, repetition, texture and slow movement. There are no fixed songs, no set choreography and no planned outcome.

Come and dance.

Move however you want, for as long as you want. Stay for ten minutes or stay for the whole practice. You can dance with the music, against it, around it, or just find your own space in the room.

The music will move between drone, ambient texture, minimalist repetition, trance rhythm, neo-classical fragments and slow-burning groove. The dancers become part of the practice — another layer of improvisation happening alongside the music

FREE ENTRY — donations welcome.
Or £10 including a CD of Rah!’s music.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
